At We Thrive, we are committed to offering quality yoga classes and education programs. Our family of teachers and yogis are united by these core values:

  • We Thrive. We take care of ourselves to show up as our best selves for you.

  • We Are Accessible. We are open to everyone by providing a welcoming experience at an affordable price, and strive to bring wellness into underserved communities.

  • We Lead with Love. For ourselves, each other, and our people.

  • We Give Back. 10% of our proceeds go supporting the original carriers of yoga. We aim to support Indian and South Indian teachers and put dollars and cents into the hands of Indian people.

  • We engage in anti-oppressive work. We are committed to breaking down systems of oppression and power imbalances in every offering. We recognize disenfranchisement across our current systems, and hold space from an intersectional lense.

Our statement of support for equity in our yoga community

We recognize that there is much work to do to bring more equity to yoga. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx are chronically underrepresented and undeserved in yoga. We pride ourselves on being a safe space, but we recognize the need to do more to bring equity to the mat. Our mission is to create initiatives that break down some of the barriers facing BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ yogis in beginning or continuing a yoga practice.

Our Promises

Outreach to Underserved Communities We commit ourselves to forming relationships with communities where yoga is not accessible, and bringing yoga into those communities through free classes and events. If you have a suggestion for a community/organization we can bring yoga to, please e-mail us at hello@wethrive.yoga

Teacher Training Scholarships  We believe representation matters, and BIPOC are under-represented in the yoga community and especially as yoga teachers. Our Equity in Yoga scholarship program aims to create equity in the accessibility of yoga training and help BIPOC to overcome barriers to yoga trainings. With this scholarship, we aim to overcome some of the financial barriers to yoga education facing BIPOC.

Our Give-Back Promise: 10% of our proceeds go supporting the original carriers of yoga. We aim to support Indian and South Indian teachers and put dollars and cents into the hands of Indian people.

Our Accessibility Promise: No one is turned away for lack of funds. We offer sliding scale for our drop in classes. If you need further financial assistance, you only need to let us know.

Philosophy

Our virtual studios make yoga and wellness accessible and inclusive – without judgment, pressure or demands. This is yoga for everyone! We empower students with choice, physical education, and access to the teachings of Yoga. We support our teachers in furthering their education, and bring their authentic selves to every class they teach. We present yoga in a way that helps you find the path that’s right for you so you can incorporate what you learn into your life beyond the mat. Our goal is to help you find more stillness, steadiness and joy through the building blocks of Yoga. Asana alone may not get you there, but it opens the door to awareness in all forms. We are committed to beginning and continuing your education with quality yoga at an affordable price, and breaking through old systems of oppression that have often been found the the wellness systems of the west.
