Maria Asadov

Maria’s yoga journey began over ten years ago. Inspired by the ancient teachings, she has since explored the traditions of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini and Kriya yoga and traveled to India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet to deepen her practice. Her initial interest in yoga has now evolved into a wholesome lifestyle which she tries to embrace both on and off the mat. Practicing and teaching yoga remains for Maria one of the most powerful tools of self-discovery which can benefit not only her life, but also the life of others.

In her classes Maria integrates playful Vinyasa, traditional Hatha yoga practices and her knowledge of the physical and subtle bodies which lead her students to get a deeper experience of the transforming power of yoga. She creates her flows with focus on breath and body awareness, safe alignment and space for introspection.

Maria was fortunate to learn from many great teachers, and has been most influenced by Andrey Verba, Annie Carpenter and Jean Mazzei.
